It was only last month that I came across this team but already I am doing things I never imagined I would be doing. I am blogging daily, I am talking with empowering people, I am revelling in everyone’s successes and making more friends every day.

Before I joined this team I was spending my life not doing much at all. OK I have achieved quite a lot in my life, I have a good job, a good husband, and a reasonably happy life but I did not have freedom. With this team I am learning every day that freedom is a short time away. I just need to work the system, blog daily and spread the word.

As part of the Totally Inspired Living Tribe I am constantly learning that I will never be alone on this journey. We all want to see each other succeed and bring others on the journey. We are all learning off each other everyday.

I am loving the opportunity I have been granted to speak to everyone everyday and to promote positivity. I love the fact that I am able help people with solutions to their dilemmas every day and I love trying to add more value to people’s lives everyday.

Release your inner-child

I love holidays. This holiday we have decided to take it as a total rest one. Yesterday and today we have spent the time totally relaxing. We have been spending some time playing in the resort pool and today we met a couple of children who attached themselves to us in the pool so we ended up doing things like walking around the outer edges creating whirlpools

I love holidays. This holiday we have decided to take it as a total rest one. Yesterday and today we have spent the time totally relaxing. We have been spending some time playing in the resort pool and today we met a couple of children who attached themselves to us in the pool so we ended up doing things like walking around the outer edges creating whirlpools. It is so easy to forget how much exercise you can do when you are playing with children your inner child really comes out.

In the last couple of years both my husband and my inner child has been released more and more. We have gone back to doing more and more activities that remind us of stuff we used to do when we were much younger.

This is the life. Being able to blog while on holiday, in the Taupo Lake region in New Zealand

Sorry it has been a few days since I last wrote but I have been on holiday doing wonderful things like driving etc and not really close to a computer.

Yesterday we went to the Taupo Summer Concert which we bought the tickets for 6 months ago, had a wonderful day of music and suffered minor heat stroke because the day was so brilliant.

The weather yesterday was a cracking 28 degrees Celsius 89F for those that don’t know, and we were out in the brilliant sun all day.

The wonderful bands playing for our enjoyment were “Three Dog Night”, “Foreigner” and “Heart”.

I am now sitting in our lovely holiday accommodation at the Turangi Leisure resort having a chill out day today as we all got burnt, despite putting loads of sunscreen on yesterday.

The crowds yesterday were pretty large. The largest I have seen at an event in the Taupo Amphitheatre.

Books that have inspired me

Today I am going to keep it simple and talk about some books that I have really enjoyed.

The first is about New Zealand guy called Jason Barrell. The book is called Try, Try Again. Written with the help of Elaine Weber McGough

Today I am going to keep it simple and talk about some books that I have really enjoyed.

The first is about New Zealand guy called Jason Barrell.  The book is called Try, Try Again. Written with the help of Elaine Weber McGough

Jason grew up in Northland, struggled through school with dyslexia, ran a successful business with his wife, became a professional Rugby Player in the Super 12 and then got a broken neck.

When the broken neck ended his rugby career, he went on to become a policeman. Unfortunately tragedy struck again and a series of strokes forced him to undergo a life threatening operation that left him semi-paralysed, brain injured and unable to work. He was only 32.

This book tells of his recovery from this to become one of New Zealand’s most successful motivational speakers.

I was lucky enough to be at a conference to hear him speak.  Hearing his story from the man himself is amazing.  He is so strong.

The next book I want to talk about is:

Excuse me, your life is waiting – The astonishing power of Positive Feelings – Lynn Grabhorn

The back cover says that this book finally clarifies why most of our dreams have never materialised, why we have lived with all too empty bank accounts, tough relationships, failing health, and spiritually unfulfilling lives.

This book is all  about the Physics of thought and it teaches you how to turn your thoughts around.

Reading I learned all sorts of things which I probably do automatically now.  And I pass this book onto others to read if they think they are going no where.

The third book I want to share with you today “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch

This became very popular in the mid to late 2000’s.  It is the book written for a lecture series which was called the last lecture and was a chance for famous speakers to imagine what would be said if there was their last lecture.

At the time Randy had only just been told that the prostate cancer he had was terminal so he wrote the most amazing lecture aimed at his children knowing what he thought of them and giving them all kinds of advice.

I love inspirational books.  They make you see that against all adversity you can succeed.

Emotional Freedom Technique

As I mentioned Tapping can be used for anything. Today I have been starting to use it to release some pain in my face but for now I am going to share with you a simple getting started tapping directly from the Tapping 101 page of The Tapping Solution Webpage.

Yesterday I mentioned Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT.  Today I have decided to share more about this wonderful method of assisting you in your success.

As I mentioned Tapping can be used for anything.  Today I have been starting to use it to release some pain in my face but for now I am going to share with you a simple getting started tapping directly from the Tapping 101 page of The Tapping Solution Webpage.

Basic Tapping Sequence for Anxiety

As discussed, Tapping can be used for everything – try it on everything! In this example, we’ll focus on general anxiety.

Try it now with this initial sequence. Here’s how a basic Tapping sequence works:

  • Identify the problem you want to focus on. It can be general anxiety, or it can be a specific situation or issue which causes you to feel anxious.
  • Consider the problem or situation. How do you feel about it right now? Rate the intensity level of your anxiety, with zero being the lowest level of anxiety and ten being the highest.
  • Compose your set up statement. Your set up statement should acknowledge the problem you want to deal with, then follow it with an unconditional affirmation of yourself as a person.
    • “Even though I feel this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    • “Even though I’m anxious about my interview, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    • “Even though I’m feeling this anxiety about my financial situation, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    • “Even though I panic when I think about ______, I deeply and completely accept myself. “
    • “Even though I’m worried about how to approach my boss, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    • “Even though I’m having trouble breathing, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

Perform the set up.

With four fingers on one hand, tap the Karate Chop point on your other hand. The Karate Chop point is on the outer edge of the hand, on the opposite side from the thumb.

Repeat the set up statement three times aloud, while simultaneously tapping the Karate Chop point. Now take a deep breath!

Get ready to begin tapping! Here are some tips to help you achieve the right technique.

You should use a firm but gentle pressure, as if you were drumming on the side of your desk or testing a melon for ripeness.

You can use all four fingers, or just the first two (the index and middle fingers). Four fingers are generally used on the top of the head, the collarbone, under the arm… wider areas. On sensitive areas, like around the eyes, you can use just two.

Tap with your fingertips, not your fingernails. The sound will be round and mellow.

The tapping order begins at the top and works down. You can end by returning to the top of the head, to complete the loop.

Now, tap 5-7 times each on the remaining eight points in the following sequence:

Tapping

Head (TH)

The crown, center and top of the head. Tap with all four fingers on both hands.

Eyebrow (EB)

The inner edges of the eyebrows, closest to the bridge of the nose. Use two fingers.

Side of eye (SE)

The hard area between the eye and the temple. Use two fingers. Feel out this area gently so you don’t poke yourself in the eye!

Under eye (UE)

The hard area under the eye, that merges with the cheekbone. Use two fingers, in line beneath the pupil.

Under nose (UN)

The point centered between the bottom of the nose and the upper lip. Use two fingers.

Chin (CP)

This point is right beneath the previous one, and is centered between the bottom of the lower lip and the chin.

Collarbone (CB)

Tap just below the hard ridge of your collarbone with four fingers.

Underarm (UA)

On your side, about four inches beneath the armpit. Use four fingers.

Head (TH)

And back where you started, to complete the sequence.

As you tap on each point, repeat a simple reminder phrase, such as “my anxiety” or “my interview” or “my financial situation.”

Now take another deep breath!

  • Now that you’ve completed the sequence, focus on your problem again. How intense is the anxiety now, in comparison to a few minutes ago? Give it a rating on the same number scale.
  • If your anxiety is still higher than “2”, you can do another round of tapping. Keep tapping until the anxiety is gone. You can change your set up statement to take into account your efforts to fix the problem, and your desire for continued progress. “Even though I have some remaining anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.” “Even though I’m still a little worried about this interview, I deeply and completely accept myself.” And so on.
  • Now that you’ve focused on dispelling your immediate anxiety, you can work on installing some positive feelings instead.

Note: This approach is different from traditional “positive thinking.” You’re not being dishonest with yourself. You’re not trying to obscure the stress and anxiety inside yourself with a veneer of insincere affirmations. Rather, you’ve confronted and dealt with the anxiety and negative feelings, offering deep and complete acceptance to both your feelings and your self. Now, you’re turning your thoughts and vibrations to the powerful and positive. That’s what makes Tapping so much more effective than the “positive thinking” techniques that many of you have already tried. It’s not just a mental trick; instead, you’re using these positive phrases and tapping to tune into the very real energy of positivity, affirmation, and joy that is implicit inside you. You’re actually changing your body’s energy into a more positive flow, a more positive vibration. Here are some example phrases to guide you: “I have faith in my ability to change.” “I am joyful about these positive changes.” “I am accomplishing so much.” “I enjoy the calm and peace that I have.” “I love the person that I am.” “I am becoming a more relaxed and joyful person.” You can use these positive phrases with the same tapping points and sequences described above. Congratulations! You’ve completed your first Tapping sequence.

Manifestation methods

We are always told we have to manifest our success. We have to know what we want and put it out there the right way.

I have been very lucky in life and have always had things happen to me at the right time. I have used various methods the main one is just putting out into the ether, but I have one manifestation I am very proud of.

We are always told we have to manifest our success.  We have to know what we want and put it out there the right way.

I have been very lucky in life and have always had things happen to me at the right time.  I have used various methods the main one is just putting out into the ether, but I have one manifestation I am very proud of.

My husband had been going through a lot of stress at work and I was in temping and contracting roles.  I was reasonably happy but I decided I would like to match my husband’s income so that if anything happened to him, I could take over paying the bills.

I used a method called EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques (commonly called tapping) as a result of this the next job I was offered contracting was more than my husband was earning.  I have not done this for a while and it is showing.  I need to get into the habit the same as I am getting into the habit of blogging. I learnt this simple method from Nick and Jessica Ortner.  They are spreading this around the world and the results have been dramatic.

You can tap for any reason at all.  Some of the reasons listed in the insiders club are getting over phobias. eating disorders, resistance, to aid sleep, and of course for financial abundance.

Other Blogs I am loving

Hi everyone,

I have never had to struggle in my life.  I do not have one of those stories where I was flat broke before I decided to do this business or having suffered a major trauma in my life.  I have never wanted for anything.  I was bought up in a hardworking home, taught to work from a young age.  My parents taught the value of work from a young age, my father ran his own business and did do all of my life until retirement after the Christchurch Earthquakes.  I went to a private school in Christchurch and then did a year of Varsity at Otago, and a year of Tech at CIT Heretaunga in Wellington, then got a job.  I have always been able to find work when I needed it and have never wanted for anything except freedom and travel.

But since I have started this business I have been introduced to some wonderful people that have had major challenges.  Today I just want to share with you the links to their blogs.  They make me so proud to see what they are doing and how this business is helping them overcome the hurdles in their life.

Through Kristina I am finding out about MTBI (Minor Traumatic Brain Injury).  It is amazing the tips she provides and how they are useful to anyone.  I now have an understanding of how easy it is to get this kind of injury and can think of how lucky I have been not to suffer it with the many knock on the head and whiplash I have received.

Seasons

In New Zealand we are in peak summer and I am sitting here at 11:00pm at night with the sliding door open to try and keep air moving through the house. I love this season, for us in New Zealand it is Christmas, and summer holidays and long nights of day light saving.

Hi all

Well tonight I was playing with the wonderful tool that is part of Kalatu called Give an Idea.  Finally after looking at a few it came up with this idea of seasons.

In New Zealand we are in peak summer and I am sitting here at 11:00pm at night with the sliding door open to try and keep air moving through the house.  I love this season, for us in New Zealand it is Christmas, and summer holidays and long nights of day light saving.

But putting this in the context of my business I am in the season of Spring.  Just starting out. Really excited about the potential, and what I am seeing daily with new life new readers, new comments, and new learnings every day.  I am excited each day to read what the people in my team are seeing and to see that I am starting to get traffic to my blog.

I am loving the journey of the new life, blogging and teaching myself everyday.
