What kind of life are you living?

Are you having fun? Are you making the opportunity to have fun in your life?

If you are not having fun in your life, then you might be feeling that life just isn’t worth living. You need to make sure that no matter is what is happening to you you have to make time to have fun.

If you are not having fun in your life, then you might be feeling that life just isn’t worth living.  You need to make sure that no matter is what is happening to you you have to make time to have fun.

Even when you have a low income or limited income you can always make ways to have fun and when you are having fun then you make the effort to do more.  Making time to have fun gives you the energy so you can greet the world with a smile. It also means that you appreciate the work you do even if it is repetitive or considered boring by others.  It makes it so you enjoy going to work, or home or whatever.

The activities we do to have fun are going swimming, date nights from time to time, and doing things we haven’t done before.  For instance the other day we took a train on a route I had not been on before.  Other activities you can do for no cost are going for walks and admiring the things around you, noticing the wildlife, sitting watching the clouds on a hot day seeing what shapes they create.

One of the philosophies that has been investigated over the years is called the FISH philosophy.  What this involved in the workplace is making ways to have fun even in the office.  When it was practiced in the company my husband was in at the time people would take Fish breaks and throw a ball around or throw rubber toys around.  The whole philosophy was based on how the employees in the Seattle Fish Market work.

Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia about how the Fish philosophy was created:

On a visit to Seattle in 1997, John Christensen, owner of ChartHouse Learning, observed fish sellers at Pike Place Fish Market, tossing trout and salmon through the air of the market providing high energy which energized many pedestrians passing by on their lunch breaks.[1] They gave their complete attention to each customer and ensured each had an enjoyable visit.

Christensen noticed the actual work of selling fish was repetitive, cold and exhausting. It occurred to him that the fishmongers might not enjoy every part of their job, but they chose to bring joy to how they approached it. They also sold a lot of fish. He asked the fishmongers if he could film them and they agreed. Lee Copeland Gladwin reports the events at hand spawned a film entitled Fish to be released, June 1998. John Christensen created the Fish Philosophy in 1998. From the film, a book entitled Fish! A Remarkable Way to Boost Morale and Improve Results, by Stephen C. Lundin, Harry Paul, and John Christensen was written.[2] When Christensen and his team examined the footage, they identified four simple practices anyone could apply to their work and life.[3] Karen Boynes, asserts once application of the four concepts of choosing one’s attitude, playing at work, making someone’s day, and being present, start, the environment changes to welcome positivity into the work place.[4] ChartHouse Learning called these concepts The Fish! Philosophy.

The FISH philosophy can make a difference in your homelife, office life, worklife.

I have found a business which I can do part time to earn a full time income so I can spend more time having fun with my loved ones and friends.

Gratitude | Are you showing gratitude?

Something you may not know about me is that my husband and I have been involved in the Pro-Wrestling circles in New Zealand for at least 20 years. My husband has been a Referee, a Wrestling manager, and also Commissioner for a Wrestling company. I have been in front of house, and also back-stage roles. As a result of this history when we see Wrestlers leaving the big shows like WWE it really effects us.

Recently “Daniel Bryan” one of the younger wrestlers we have been watching for years has had to retire from in-ring wrestling because of too many concussions. The thing that really struck me was he was the gratitude he showed for everything he had been able to achieve. The thing he said he felt most strongly after he had gone through a lot of emotions was Gratitude.

Are you practicing the art of Gratitude?

Are you thanking God/the Universe for the things in your life every day?

One of the things you will find when you start practicing the art of gratitude is you will feel happier and when you feel happier more success will follow you.

Try creating a Gratitude Journal, writing in it each day what you are thankful for.  It will kick your brain into action and make you start observing the world around you a lot more.
