Empowerment What does it mean to you?

I have been calling this blog my daily empowerment so today I decided to investigate what empowerment means.

The dictionary has two definitions of Empowerment.

verb (used with object)

1.

to give power or authority to; authorize, especially by legal or official means:

I empowered my agent to make the deal for me. The local ordinance empowers the board of health to close unsanitary restaurants.

2.

to enable or permit:

Wealth empowered him to live a comfortable life.

So Empowerment What Does it mean to you?

This blog is called my daily empowerment because I share information that will allow you to self-empower yourself. Which means we empower ourselves by giving us the power to succeed with whatever our challenges are.

So Empowerment what does it mean to you?

We give ourselves power by reading and listening to powerful books and audios.  By turning off the negative things in our lives and creating a positive mental attitude. We also associate ourselves with people that we can learn from.  That have gone through the mistakes before us and teach us ways that will make our path easier than the one they had to strike.
The kinds of books we read are business books, mind set books, anything positive.
The books I am currently reading are “Napoleon Hill’s Keys to Success” and “Secrets of Inspiring Leaders Exposed” Interviews by Dale Beaumont.
Through these books I am learning so much.
Here is a short video I did one day on some of my reading.
So Empowerment what does that mean to you?
I hope you have enjoyed this post.  Leave a comment below and tell me what
you think empowerment means to you.
If you want to get your daily empowerment by listening to audios come and join me listening to Inner Circle audios. The power of daily listening is incredible.

    1. Thank you Ken. Love your definition of Empowerment lifting ourselves up so we can be an example to others.

  1. Thanks Leoni for empowering me with your post today 🙂
If more people only discovered that they have all the power they need inside themselves and thanks to your post many will see that now.
By empowering yourself you empower others and by empowering others, guess what-
    you empower yourself.
It also might help to be a part of empower network 😉

    1. Thank you Marko. Being a part of Empower Network has made me grow so much. Thank you for your kind words.

  2. I love this. One of the things I love about being “expected” to read other blogs is that is forces me to do what I should do anyway. And then I get to read wonderful posts like yours! Thanks

  3. Great post! Empowerment to me means living a life that is true to who you are. Not living a life based on someone else’s expectations of what they think you should be doing. It means being you and loving who you are. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂

  4. Empowerment to me means being happy. When a person is empowered to the point he or she is living their life in the happiest way possible, that’s empowerment. You made some great points in your post. I need to continue to do the things I’m doing but my weakness is reading. I have to force myself to do that. Great post.

    1. Hi Beth. I am not a great reader either but I am working on it. I have always read but normally fiction so this challenge has been great at reading what I should again.

  5. To me empowerment means setting a goal and blasting through the obstacles and not let anything get in your way. That, to me, is the ultimate definition of empowerment.

  6. Hi Leonie,
Empowerment is a wonderful thing, that feeling of individual strength, at the same time humbling because of it’s gift.
A little profound I know but couldn’t help myself.. Nice post Leonie. I could not get the video link working..? I Would have liked to see what you say you learnt about The conscious and subconscious mind, perhaps you could share with us another time.
