2 Enjoyable Fictional Science Fantasy series of books

I love books always have and always will. There is nothing better than curling up on the couch or bed with a good book when you want to lose yourself from the world. The books I have been reading for years are science Fiction Fantasy and today I want to share a couple of series I have read recently. I find Science fiction is often uplifting even if it is not actually factual, with the struggles the characters go through to get the result required at the end.

  1. The Iron Druid Chronicles

This series of books is about the oldest living druid in the world. Atticus O’Sullivan is 2000 years old. He discovered an immortality tea which has enabled to live the age of a late thirty year old for the last 2000 years. He has relationships with the various cultural pantheons which is really interesting. Of course it includes Magic, and lots of conflict. One character that really stands out is Oberon his Wolf hound that he is bound to so they have some really hilarious conversations.

  2. The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel; Clockwork Prince; Clockwork Princess

This series of books is the second series of Cassandra Clare’s written for the youth market. It is a nice easy read. It is set in Victorian England, and tells particularly of one young American girl Tessa, coming to London and the new life she faces. It is set in a alternate world with Vampires, mundanes and Demons and the struggles of teenagers in this fantasy world.

  1. Like the sound of the Iron Druid chronicles, but I may have to put it off for a while as I am still in the middle of Game of Thrones! Once I can give up work, I have promised myself I will make time to get back to reading fiction. Did you read the Julian May series (I think the ‘Saga of the Exiles’ was the group title, there were eight books in total.)

    1. Hi Jennie I love Game of Thrones and am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. I can not say I have read the Julian May series but I think my husband may have. We have a huge library of books which get read over and over again. I will check that series out. Thank you.

    1. HI Erica, yes we have a huge library of books, a very eclectic selection. Topics range from Business, Mindset, Spirituality, Magic, Science Fiction, history and some thrillers and romances as well.

  2. I’m always looking for new book recommendations, these are out of my normal genre but I’ll give them a look! thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Melissa, We have a huge library so I could probably recommend heaps. What is your normal genre? And thank you for reading.
